Hunting

Although Karachab Game Ranch does not derive its main income from hunting, and strict nature conservation guide-lines apply, certain animals must be hunted in order to keep the balance in nature. Therefore this game ranch  was registered in May 2004 as a hunting farm by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and this is the only reason why hunters are invited to the game ranch. We only take one hunter at a time accompanied by non-hunting companions. Exceptions will only be made if two hunters know each other and are prepared to hunt together. The hunt takes place mainly on foot, but in some cases a four-wheel-driven vehicle is used. We do not hunt at  waterholes or from raised hides. The legal hunting season in Namibia is from 1 February till 30 November.
Should you not have booked a rented vehicle through us, we can pick you - against a fee - up at the Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport and transfer you to Karachab Game Ranch, which is situated 195 km from the airport. Before or after your hunt, we can gladly assist you to plan and arrange your exclusive and tailor-made self-drive safari, guided photo-safari and fly-in safari with our travel partner ONDESE Travel & Safaris (www.ondese.com).

Should you not be hunting, you can just relax on the farm, but we do also offer game drives, walks and birding additionally and for the non-hunting persons.

The hunter shall bring his / her own hunting rifle and ammunition.
